I'm posting this later than I should be considering that the first day of spring semester classes are tomorrow...

Shannan Martin: Larry Powell loved kids and made a difference: I love Shannan. She is my homegirl. She speaks my soul. We could spend hours together eating salsa and talking about books and writing. This one struck me deep.
- Love her like I do? Go check out her blog where she talks about living on the wrong side of the tracks and loving life through all the messes. I won't ever talk religion here, but we don't agree on everything. The beautiful thing about humanity is that it's bigger than that. Give it a read. (I really really want to be her best friend.)

Saturday was Super Saturday!!!
My favorite weekend of the entire quarter. Every three months, there are Beachbody events across the country to kick off the new quarter. They're individually hosted, but the general format is: Local coach speaker sharing their story, keynote speaker, updates from Corporate, and then a big group workout!
There are several Inspire Joy coaches in the area and I got to hang out with one of my fave girls from IJ, Hannah Robinson!
It's always a blast and (of course) I snapped my way through the day:

Since I was just a few minutes away from her house, I actually ducked out of the event early and went to hang out with one of my friends (and old suitemate) from school! Since she's so close to Chapel Hill, I've been fortunate to get to know her family over the past few years and it was fun to reconnect before the wildness of the semester begins.
We took a trip over to the NC History Museum and explored the Capitol building.
Like any good Southerners, we ended the night with chicken and waffles and mac & cheese. So good.
I spent today catching up with some friends who are now back in town, doing a lot of website work (that'll be revealed in a few days!), and seriously meal prepping. It's already worth not having to worry about cooking any meals for the next five days. I'll be back on Tuesday sharing how I meal plan, prep, and reviewing the recipes I tried this week.
